I am originally from Sioux Falls, SD. I moved to Madison in November of 2015 to serve as an AmeriCorps VISTA. I received my Bachelor’s Degree in Human Development and Family Studies from South Dakota State University. My experience has primarily been in the fundraising field, which I started pursuing while attending college. That journey began with my involvement in the Dance Marathon organization at my school called State-A-Thon. I served with State-A-Thon all four years in college as a Morale Leader, Fundraising Chair, and Overall Coordinator. Working with that organization taught me so much about friendship, leadership, and finding your passion. Many of the positions I have held throughout and after college have included motivating people, organizing events, and helping other leaders grow. All of which I am excited to continue to do on this team!
In my free time, I love to be around friends and family. I also really enjoy being near the water so much of my summer is spent at James Madison Park playing sand volleyball and cooking out with friends. I also enjoy travelling! I went to China in 2014 and can’t wait to visit more beautiful countries! Some of the things on my bucket list are sky diving, zip lining through a rainforest, and visiting all seven wonders of the world.
I love to spend time getting to know people and learning all about their passions. I truly look forward to getting to know every person on this team!
